Timeclock Rounding Lawsuit Letters

WSNA has become aware that nurses have been receiving letters notifying them of a lawsuit filed against VMFH related to timeclock rounding.  WSNA is not involved in this lawsuit. Many of you may have seen reporting last year about a class-action complaint, first filed in 2021 on behalf of Providence nurses, technicians, medical assistants and other hourly staffers, which alleged the hospital system was responsible for wage violations involving its former timeclock rounding practice. A judge ruled in favor of the workers.  Nurses can reach out to the law firm for more details about the current case against VMFH.

Speaking of timeclock rounding - the new minute-to-minute clocking is in place. If you are encountering issues with pay, please contact your nurse rep, Sara Frey, ASAP.  As always, it is important to check your timecard each and every pay period. WSNA continues to see a number of issues with time cards including missed step increases, payment of premiums and incentive pay.  Carefully document emails to your manager, payroll and HR and if you are not receiving prompt assistance resolving the matter, reach out to WSNA ASAP.
