VM announces closure of the Family Birth Center

Today, VM announced to nurses and WSNA, the closure of the Family Birth Center and Franciscan Women’s Health Associates Clinic at Virginia Mason Medical Center, effective November 16, 2024. WSNA is currently evaluating this decision and next steps. WSNA is very concerned for your fellow staff nurses and about this trend in Washington State of hospitals closing their labor and delivery services and the impact on the communities they serve. Stay tuned for more information on this closure.
