Here’s What’s at Stake at Tomorrow’s Bargaining Session

What’s on the Table at Our 9/1 Bargaining Session?
Tomorrow, 9/1, we’ll meet for our eighth negotiation session. We won’t mince words here: there’s a lot at stake. Management is trying to force nurses to do more with less, and it’s written all over their proposals.
Here’s what’s on the table and where each party stands:
To help us reach a deal before our contract expires, WSNA and Virginia Mason have agreed to a one-day contract extension that will give us the opportunity to meet on 9/1 for our eighth negotiation session.
Last week, every unit made it crystal clear that nurses put people over profits. Virginia Mason’s management saw that we’re united on the hospital floor and at the bargaining table, and they know we’ll be united on the picket line if they don’t get their priorities straight soon.
This Tuesday, let’s make sure they don’t forget it. We need you at the table with us – RSVP here if you can join us on Tuesday. Can’t make it? Wear your WSNA shirt and send us a photo from your unit so we can share it on our bargaining unit’s Instagram page!
