Important events are happening this month!

UPCOMING Local Unit Meeting and VOTE:

When: June 22, 2023 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Location: The Hive (Spokane Library). 2904 E Sprague Ave

Agenda from your Officers:

  • Important Grievance Updates filed on behalf of Donni Heidenson and all affected for purposes of management unilaterally changing weekend requirements for non-premium relief nurses. We plan to give you all the information on this grievance, what has happened, and where we are now.
  • Productivity updates as well as open discussion
  • Education Benefit Program MOU Vote – WSNA approached Management about the Education Benefit Program not being in the contract, and since this practice has to do with wages, it must be bargained. Therefore, an MOU was reached, and we are now ready to put it to a vote. During the local unit meeting, nurses can cast their ballot from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Must be a member in good standing to vote.

Your Officers are planning for a light meal to be provided, and as such, we are asking nurses to please arrive at 4:30 p.m., meeting to begin promptly at 5 p.m. Please RSVP of “yes” or “no” to help with food planning and preparation. Please send an email to Nurse Rep Jaclyn Smedley BSN, RN at jsmedley@wsna.org indicating your intentions or regrets.
