Do you want to be a leader and represent your peers?

This is your opportunity to partner with the Nurse Rep in dealings with the Employer regarding your contract, wages, and conditions of work.

Local Unit Officer (LUO) positions Include:

Chairperson

  • The leader and coordinator of the local unit

Co-Chairperson

  • Supports the chairperson in their work and performs duties of the chairperson in their absence

Secretary/Treasurer

  • Records meeting minutes, manages local unit’s finances, and sends out meeting and event notifications

Grievance Officer

  • Works with the Nurse Rep to resolve conflicts between nurses & management and ensure contract enforcement using the grievance process
