Happy Nurses Week

Let’s say it plainly: you are extraordinary.
Not in the vague, laminated-plaque-in-the-breakroom kind of way. In the actually showing up, shift after shift, in conditions that would break most people kind of way.
So before anything else: thank you. Happy Nurses Week.
Coming to a unit near you
Your new WSNA union officers are excited to meet you — and they’ll be rounding on every unit throughout Nurses Week to say thank you in person and hand out some free swag. Keep an eye out for them this week!

Safe staffing
When you’re caring for more patients than is safe, it’s not a personal failing — it’s a systemic problem. You shouldn’t have to choose between skipping a break and giving someone the attention they need. Your WSNA bargaining unit is fighting for it.
The union is you
The union isn’t some outside organization — it’s your coworkers. The people in the break room with you, at the bargaining table for you. When we fight for safe staffing, we fight together.
With gratitude and solidarity,
Your WSNA Union Officers
