Temporary WSNA Nurse Rep Coverage!

Laurie robinson headshot

Laurie Robinson will be the WSNA Nurse Representative for Pullman Regional beginning Monday May 4, 2026! It has been so much fun working with all of our nurses and I look forward to seeing you all when I return from maternity leave. Laurie is a seasoned union representative with great experience working with critical access hospitals. Her email is lrobinson@wsna.org should any nurse need representation, have questions, or want to get more involved!

Leadership Wrap Up!

Leadership wide shot

Our 2026 WSNA Leadership convention was a great success! Nurses from across WA state came to level up their leadership skills including how to build engagement in our union, how to answer questions if you’re called to HR or supporting a colleague, how to use our regulatory partners like DOH or L&I to help move issues in our workplace, and networking with nurses from around our state to see what issues they are facing. Our union regularly offers opportunities in the Spokane area and broader WA area, often free of cost to our members. Reach out today if you want to get more involved.

Safety Committee

We need YOU- to join safety committee! Our committees are only as strong as our nurses willing to participate in them. Our contract gives us many opportunities to engage with management to improve our working conditions, and safety committee is one of them. Safety Committee can be found in Article 9.25 of our contract and is where conversations around needlesticks, exposures, and workplace violence occur. All time in committee meetings is paid! Reach out today if you’re interested.

Lauren’s Lap SAVE THE DATE

Laurenmcclusky run

We are looking for 12 nurses to volunteer with us on Saturday October 17, 2026. This is our third year partnering with the Lauren McCluskey Foundation to provide basic first aid and water stations on their racecourse. This event focuses on increasing campus safety awareness related to domestic violence reporting in honor of Lauren McCluskey. All supplies will be provided including T-shirts and a free lunch! Commitment is roughly 9 am-1 pm.

Our union is also offering TEN registration spots to any Pullman nurse who would like to run the race themselves.

Take a moment and indicate your interest here so we can continue supporting this vital community event.
