Climate Change and Clinical Practice Symposium

March 12, 2026

10:00am–3:00pm

Center for Urban Horticulture
3501 NE 41st St
Seattle, WA 98105

This year’s symposium will take place on March 12, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Center for Urban Horticulture in Seattle, WA. For the first time, we are also offering a virtual attendance option to expand access for participants throughout the region. We strongly encourage in-person attendance for local participants, as the event is designed to foster connection, collaboration, and hands-on engagement that are best experienced onsite.

The symposium brings together clinicians, health system leaders, and community partners for a day of learning and practical exploration of key topics at the intersection of climate change, health care delivery, sustainability, equity, and health system resilience. We are honored to feature a keynote address from Dr. Komal Bajaj, Chief Quality Officer at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi/North Central Bronx who will speak about advancing quality, safety, and equity across a large public health system—perspectives that will help ground the day’s discussions in meaningful, systems-level action.

We expect a dynamic and well-attended gathering that will strengthen collaboration across UW Medicine and the broader regional health community. We hope you will join us—whether in person or virtually—for this important opportunity to advance climate-smart clinical practice.
