Dear WSNA members:

I am writing to let you know that, after much thought and many sleepless nights, I have decided to retire and resign my position as WSNA’s Executive Director by the beginning of October 2021. I have notified the WSNA Board of Directors as well as WSNA staff of this decision. I am providing a year’s notice to give the Board ample time to engage in a national search and to be able to assist with a smooth transition as the next Executive Director is selected.

By October 2021, I will have been in this role for almost five years and will have practiced as a registered nurse for more than 45 years. It has been an awesome experience and quite the journey! From my perspective no career could be more fulfilling. I have never been bored! I am very proud of all we have accomplished and sincerely look forward to being able to stay involved in different capacities.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve WSNA as the Executive Director.
