WSNA election season is upon us. Your participation is not just a vote; it is a step toward shaping the future of nursing in our state and beyond.
Voting for the 2025-2027 elections begins at 8 a.m. PT May 26 and closes at 5 p.m. PT June 26.
The upcoming 2025–2027 elections are taking place amid many challenges facing our profession and health care. Our elections allow our officers to make pivotal decisions affecting nurses and patient care.
WSNA has been leading major policy changes since 1908 and will continue to do so with your help.
Members are electing peers to the Board of Directors, Legislative & Health Policy Council, Professional Nursing & Health Care Council, and Labor Executive Council. These roles are instrumental in directing WSNA's strategic initiatives, advocacy efforts, and professional development programs.
We are also electing members to the WSNA Nominations/Search Committee and Labor Nominations/Search Committee. These roles ensure our elections continue to have a robust lineup of nominees.
And we are electing delegates to the 2026 and 2027 ANA Membership Assembly and the 2026 AFT Convention, which empower our representatives to impact national issues.

Elections process
WSNA will oversee the 2025 election process administered by Survey & Ballot Systems, a company with deep experience in conducting secret ballot elections for nurse associations, unions, and other nonprofit organizations. The election will take place using a secure electronic voting system.
Notice of the election, including instructions for accessing and submitting your secret ballot electronically, will be mailed to each WSNA member’s last known home address by USPS first class mail on May 21, 2025. Members will also have access to a special election web page with information on the candidates and how to process your ballot.
Along with voting for candidates, WSNA members will be voting on proposed amendments to the WSNA bylaws.

| July 1, 2025 | Ballots will be tabulated beginning at approximately 9 a.m. PT and results shall be declared on the date the votes are counted. The results will be posted on the WSNA website and in an official WSNA publication. |
