In the wake of the catastrophic flash floods in Central Texas, the Texas Nurses Foundation, part of the Texas Nurses Association, has established a disaster relief fund to support nurses affected by the floods. The flash flooding left a trail of devastation across Central Texas. As the Foundation says, “As nurses are critical in disaster relief efforts, it is necessary to keep in mind that they and their families are also often affected by the same emergency.”
