Wsna networking v02

At the recent WSNA Convention, we launched a series of networking groups. The plan is to provide members with interests in one or more areas to get together online to provide community and also to provide feedback and ideas for WSNA’s work.

We’ve had members ask about this type of group over the years and are excited to get the networking groups going. These will be primarily member-driven.

We had a good response from members at the convention, and we want to make sure that all interested members have an opportunity to sign up.

Note: All groups are open to all interested members.

There are four initial groups, the listed below—this is a start; the list may expand after these four get started.

Racial Justice

Will focus on advancing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice and supporting nurses and communities of color.

LGBTQ+ Health

Will focus on issues related to care and services for LGBTQ+ people and supporting LGBTQ+ nurses.

Workplace Violence

Will focus on offering input and feedback to inform WSNA staff in continuing to advocate for measures to prevent workplace violence in all healthcare settings.

Mobilization Network

Will focus on mobilizing members throughout the state, joining peaceful protests to support WSNA’s agenda in advancing labor, access to healthcare coverage, supporting DEI initiatives, and advocating for human rights. Will help to provide a visible nursing presence in actions as they take place across Washington.
