Nurses will vote again next week on a proposed contract with PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center, almost two months after voting down a previous tentative agreement.

The previous contract expired at the end of March. Union members will vote on the new proposal May 22 and 23, according to an announcement posted on the Washington State Nurses Association website.

“Your bargaining team strongly recommends a YES vote,” the post continued. The nurses’ union represents about 1,100 nurses at the hospital.
