Due to protracted negotiations and the employer’s unwillingness to recognize the hard work of RNs here at Evergreen and treat them with the respect they deserve, your WSNA Bargaining Team is taking action.
Your bargaining team of registered nurses will be making contact with attendees at the April 27 Gala at Marymoor Park to inform them of the employer’s unwillingness to offer fair wages and a safe working environment for registered nurses. Some 25 RNs from around the hospital will be convening at Marymoor Park and leafletting arriving attendees, along with answering any questions they may have regarding our difficult negotiations. Physicians and donors should know how Administration is treating their RNs.
Our teams are set to meet on Friday, April 26, for our first session with a mediator but mountains will have to move in order to stave off this action.
We do not need the involvement of the entire membership at this time but stay tuned for how you can contribute to attaining a fair contract for all RNs working at Evergreen Medical Center.
