Next Wage Increase
Per the WSNA Collective Bargaining Agreement (Contract) - Effective first full pay period following November 1, 2026: a 4% across the board increase will be made.
This increase will begin with the November 8th pay period; and will show in your November 27th paycheck. Please make sure your paychecks are accurate.
Staffing Concerns; Break Coverage
If you have staffing concerns, tell us about it on the electronic Assignment Despite Objection (ADO) Staffing Concern form. We discuss these concerns at the Hospital Staffing Committee meeting and work to find resolutions for the problems. Staffing should follow the approved matrices around the clock, not just at the beginning of the shift. Be sure to indicate the census, expected staff and actual staff so we can see if the hospital is in compliance.
Be sure to record and attest to missed meal and rest breaks in the time and attendance system. This is important to provide accurate data for us to know if the facility is providing adequate break relief. Report missed meal and rest breaks on the ADOS. Buddy breaks are discouraged because it may double a nurse's assignment, thus putting the staffing matrix out of compliance.
WSNA Stewards
As we gear up for contract negotiations in 2027, we need more union stewards to help us be in closer contact with our members. The more union leaders we have, the stronger our bargaining unit will be. Steward training will be provided. We may ask you to keep nurses informed about bargaining or upcoming actions, to keep your unit WSNA bulletin boards up to date and more.
The next Steward training will be December 1st at 7 p.m. Scan the QR code below to RSVP. For more information, contact WSNA Membership Officer Nikki Paulson, [email protected] or contact WSNA Organizer Samuel School, [email protected].
Make your voice heard by November 3! Remember to VOTE!
Decisions made at the ballot box affect nurses, our patients, and the future of healthcare. Make sure your voice is heard by voting early!

Cafeteria Time - WSNA Holiday Food Drive November 19
Please drop by the Hospital Cafeteria on Thursday November 19 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to visit with your WSNA Nurse Representative, Organizer and Officers. We'd like to ask every nurse to come by and drop off at least one non-perishable food item to be donated to a local food bank. When we work together, we can take care of our community.
