Check your mail for your ballot!

Last week, the ballots were sent out for your local WSNA EvergreenHealth RN officer elections. This election is conducted via paper ballots and the mail per our local unit rules. The ballots include envelopes with return postage.

Return ballots must be postmarked no later than November 9, 2023.

You must be a dues-paying member to vote or run for office. If you did not receive a ballot and believe you should have, or if you want to join in time to vote, reach out to Nurse Rep Bret Percival ASAP.

Per local unit rules, write-in candidates are not allowed. However, we are always looking for more help! A write-in area is on the ballot to recommend yourself or others as a unit leader. There are many ways to get involved, and we need many of you involved as we ramp up contract bargaining in 2024.

We need at least one nurse representing each floor and each shift—ideally, we need one nurse for every ten nurses in the workplace for the best possible contract in 2024. Your contract and working conditions will reflect how much participation we have from the roughly 1100 WSNA nurses at Evergreen.
