We have a TA on the MOU for the Bonney Lake Clinic!

This memorandum of understanding (MOU) finishes the job we started over a year ago at the bargaining table when we requested voluntary recognition for our RN coworkers at the Bonney Lake clinic. Here's a summary of what the MOU does:

  • Officially adds Bonney Lake's full-time and part-time RNs to our bargaining unit and applies our union contract (including all of its protections and benefits) retroactively back to June 15, 2026, date the NLRB's Region 19 officially certified the results of their election. We'll also add Bonney Lake to the list of clinics covered by our contract in Appendix A.
  • Ensures WSNA will get an updated roster that includes Bonney Lake clinic RNs right away so we can include them in bargaining unit communications and actions from day one.
  • Guarantees nurses at Bonney Lake will get our annual pay increases moving forward, just like the rest of our bargaining unit. Though these increases might seem obvious to nurses who have been part of the union for awhile, they're not guaranteed outside of our bargaining unit, so this is a win in and of itself.
  • Protects any accrued leave Bonney Lake RNs earned as non-union employees and transitions them to our contract's leave accrual rates moving forward.
  • Applies our seniority language and credits Bonney Lake from the time they join the bargaining unit — that's June 15, 2026, for the nurse who's currently on staff there, and their date of hire into a bargaining unit role for anyone hired after June 15.
