Announcing Interim Nurse Rep Coverage While Travis Elmore Nelson is out for Legislative Session

Effective today, Feb 10, 2026, WSNA Rep. Jaclyn Smedley BSN, RN, will be covering for new issues and current negotiations while Travis Elmore Nelson BSN, RN, is out for Oregon Legislative session. Travis’ leave is expected to last until mid-March. Should you have an issue you would like to address, please send an email to jsmedley@wsna.org from today forward, and until further notice.

Good news is, you’re in good hands! Jaclyn has been a registered nurse for 23 years and has been a WSNA Nurse Rep for 17 of those years. She comes with broad union experience to include representing the nurses of Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Spokane Regional Health District, and PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, Skagit Regional Health in Skagit to name few. Jaclyn has represented WSNA nurses for matters of negotiations, grievances, Unfair Labor Practices, organizing and other internal issues that involve mandatory subjects of bargaining.
