Contract negotiations update

On Feb. 11, 2021, your contract negotiation team met with hospital management for the third time. This time management put their wage proposal on the table. Management is proposing 1.5% upon ratification, 1% on 11/1/21 and another 1% on 11/1/22. They are also proposing that we agree to do away with the 15% pay in lieu of benefits option for part time employees, changes to sick and vacation time, a reduction in per diem premium from 10% to 8%, increasing the dependent insurance premium percentage from 25% to 30% and other takeaways.

Management has declined to accept our proposals on workplace violence and staffing. We will continue to fight for improved contract language in both of those areas.

Our next meeting with hospital management is set for Feb 19, 2021!

We have scheduled virtual union meetings on February 25th to keep you informed and to answer your questions!
