We'll discuss how, when, and why to file an ADO, including examples of staffing concerns, missed breaks, unsafe assignments, and other situations where documentation can help protect patients, nurses, and your nursing license.

ADOs are one of the strongest ways nurses can document concerns and identify staffing trends. The more accurately we document issues, the better we can advocate for improvements and hold the employer accountable for addressing recurring problems.
