Bargaining Update - Day Three

2023 06 30 Bargaining Team Photo

Island Health RNs,

We met for our third bargaining session on Friday, June 30, 2023.  We offered our third proposal and presented wage data to back up the policy and pay changes we'll need to compete with area hospitals and recruit and retain nurses.  Management has a lot to respond to in our next session on Friday, July 7, 2023.

Remember to sticker/button up on Friday in support of your bargaining team, who are working to make sure your voices are heard at the table.

Nurses came to pick up Infuser Water Bottles

We met many of you on Thursday afternoon as you came to pick up water bottles for your colleagues.  Thank you!  If your water bottle came with a paper application to WSNA, you may not be a current member! Please fill it out and return it to us so your vote can be counted after we reach a tentative agreement on the contract!  Soon, we will announce more dates for Cafeteria Time.  We want to hear your concerns and questions.  For any questions in the meantime, please contact hwelander@wsna.org.

In solidarity,
Adrian Fewing, Chair; Heather Bush, Vice-Chair, Mary Wexman and Kate Scherer, Grievance Officers
