COVID vaccination mandate update

Dear WSNA bargaining unit members at Island Hospital:

During these challenging times WSNA is working to stay on top of all developments, including Governor Inslee’s newly announced proclamation which, among other things, requires nurses to be fully vaccinated or have a medical or religious exemption prior to October 18, 2021. Please note however that the effects of this proclamation on the nurses is a mandatory subject of bargaining.

We will be issuing a demand to bargain to the employer. We will have more information shortly.

WSNA strongly encourages nurses to be vaccinated and we work diligently to keep the website current with the latest information. You may access an FAQ on the wsna.org web page.

We will send more information to our members as it becomes available.
