🕢Choose the session that works best for you:
• 7:45 a.m.
• 5:00 p.m.
📍Columbia 1
This isn't just another contract review. We'll be discussing how to put the new contract to work and how you can help shape the future of staffing and scheduling in your department.
We'll cover:
✅ Scheduling Workgroups and how they empower frontline nurses
✅ Washington meal and rest break law
✅ Hospital Staffing Committee (HSC) authority and staffing plans
✅ Assignment Despite Objection (ADO) documentation
✅ The new Break Compliance Review MOU
✅ Strategies for documenting staffing and break compliance to improve patient and caregiver safety
✅ Open discussion and questions
During negotiations, the ICU and Emergency Department consistently demonstrated some of the greatest challenges with meal and rest break compliance, making your participation especially important as we begin implementing the new Break Compliance Review process.
Whether you're already involved with WSNA or simply want to better understand your rights and the new tools available under our contract, we encourage you to attend.
Can't make your unit's scheduled session? You're welcome to attend any of the upcoming Thursday sessions throughout the series.
We fought hard for these improvements—now let's work together to make sure they're fully implemented.
We hope to see you tomorrow!
