We have a ratified contract!

A record numbers of nurses turned out for our contract vote today, and by an overwhelming majority we voted to ratify the contract.

Our solidarity and action, up to and including voting to authorize a strike, made all the difference in achieving a contract that maintains PTO accruals and caps for all current nurses covered by the contract, maintains existing EIB, includes enhanced staffing and workplace violence language, provides a total wage increases of 10% over the life of this contract (including 5.5% by January 1, 2020) and includes a ratification bonus of $1,500.

You will receive a ratification bonus of $1,500 (prorated for those below 0.9FTE) and can expect a wage increase of 3% in December and another 2.5% increase on January 1, 2020.

Our new contract will be posted online at wsna.org once the original ratified contract is signed by all parties.

In solidarity,

Your negotiating team: Jacob Garcia (CDU), Martha Galvez (Birth Center), Vanessa Douglas (ICU), Meri Bukovinsky (CDU), Joyce McMurphy (NICU), and Kathy Peot (Resource).
