DOSH investigation of safety complaint

Our nurses deserve the appropriate PPE to safely care for our patients in this pandemic.

The Washington State Nurses Association filed a complaint to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) of Labor and Industries (L&I) based on credible reports that nurses did not have access to PPE including N-95 respirators and face masks. It was also reported that instructions were give allowing only one mask per nurse per shift.

Several nurses have been chosen at random to be interviewed by the investigator. Should you be chosen to participate in the investigation, please remember you have the right for union representation and can contact Jayson Dick at 206-858-2139.

It is important that everyone’s concern on appropriate PPEs is heard! Please take the time to fill out this very important intake form prior to 5 p.m. on March 26 so we can submit the results to the DOSH investigator.
