Don't Delay completing your Pre-Negotiations Survey
Past update Posted July 10, 2026 View latest update
The current interim contract between WSNA and Kindred Seattle-First Hill expires on December 31, 2026. This survey is a vital step in our preparation for contract negotiations. Your input is critical in determining nurses’ priorities as we head to the bargaining table. We cannot consider your issues and concerns unless we hear from you. All responses are confidential.
Here is the survey Link and QR Code:
Please complete your survey by July 24 so we have time to review the results.
WSNA Badge Buddies
What are the WSNA Badge Buddies for?
- Your Representation Rights are printed there for you. If your manager asks to meet with you, be sure to ask if the meeting is Investigatory in nature and if it could lead to you being disciplined or terminated. If they say Yes, then you are entitled to union representation. Please contact your WSNA Officer or WSNA Nurse Representative to attend the meeting with you.
- ADO QR Code. Fill out the electronic ADO form every time your staffing plan is out of compliance; when you feel staffing is inadequate or unsafe; when you miss breaks or don't have break coverage. When you use buddy breaks, a team member has essentially 2 assignments- their own plus their co-worker's assignment. When this happens the staffing plan is out of compliance. Please don't hesitate to fill out the ADO (Assignment Despite Objection) staffing complaint form. We are not able to help when we don't hear what the problems are. We review the ADOs at the monthly hospital staffing committee meeting and discuss ways to resolve the problems.
- Local Unit website QR Code. This takes you to the WSNA webpage specifically for Kindred nurses. You can find contact information for your WSNA leaders, your contract, communication updates, and links to the main WSNA website wsna.org.
- Membership QR Code. This links new nurses to the quick and easy WSNA Membership application.
Wearing your Blue WSNA badge buddies, along with your WSNA Badge Reels shows Solidarity with your Union.
This is especially important as we head into contract bargaining soon.
Completing Your Documentation
It is our understanding that you have been asked by management to come in during your off-duty time to complete charting/documentation. If that is the case, it is IMPERATIVE that you clock in and out for the time you are working and accessing records. It is NOT an option to skip clocking in and out when working.
