Negotiating team update

Management stated they are posting three (3) Nurse Supervisor positions. We made some progress on non-economical proposals. The Hospital has proposed RN wage increases of 1percent in the first year, 1 percent in the second year and 1.5 percent in the third year of the contract.

The increases for the LPNs were equally disappointing at 0 percent in the first year, 1 percent in the second year and 1.5 percent in the third year.

Our negotiating team thinks these increases are inadequate to hire and retain qualified RNs and LPNs. We hope to see substantial improvements at the next session on May 22.
