Congratulations! We Have a Contract!

Yesterday, our newly formed NICU bargaining unit turned out in force to unanimously ratify our first contract! Our new contract is in effect and WSNA is working to get a final copy out as soon as possible – however, there are still portions of the contract that need to be synchronized with the UFCW Mary Bridge RN contract (specifically, certain seniority provisions and the question of whether WSNA NICU RNs will participate in the Low Census Bank and, if so, starting when). If you have any questions, please contact Nurse Rep Brenda Balogh at bbalogh@wsna.org.

Time to Choose Officers

Since we are now our own bargaining unit, we need to elect officers. Keep an eye out for information on the nomination and election process. Now is a terrific time to get involved!

NICU Per Diems

The NICU on call/per diem nurses have filed for an election with the National Labor Relations Board to join our union. Depending on whether there’s a government shutdown, we should know soon what the details of that election are. Congratulations on that first step! We are stronger together.

In solidarity,
Your bargaining team:
Crystal Anderson
Rosie Robertson
Angela Moran
Kristina Madden
Monique Presutti
Ronna Crandall
