HSC Chair Update

We are excited to announce that Rose Carlson has accepted the position of HSC Chair. We are grateful to have Rose step into this role and look forward to her continued advocacy on behalf of Peace Island nurses.

Officer Election – June 22

This is notice of an upcoming WSNA officer election for Peace Island Medical Center. The election will be held on June 22.

The following members have been nominated for local unit officer positions:

Chairperson: Julie Bielau
Treasurer: Suzanne Cochran
Secretary: Morgan Timmons
Grievance Officers: Clarence Makins and Jordan Hoss (pick 2)

Here’s what you need to know: 

  • Voting will take place electronically via Election Buddy. You will receive a unique ballot link sent to your email at the start of the voting period. The voting dates will be from June 22 (starting at 6:45 am) to June 23 (ending at 7:30 am).
  • Please ensure your email is up to date using this link:
  • A valid and updated email address is the only way to receive your ballot.
  • When voting starts, please check your inbox as well as your spam or junk folder. Each link is individualized and can only be used once. If you do not receive a link, reach out to WSNA Nurse Rep Linda Burbank at Lburbank@wsna.org.
  • To vote, you must be a member in good standing.

Officer elections determine who leads your local bargaining unit, represents you in interactions with PIMC leadership, and partners with WSNA staff to make sure the nurses’ priorities and rights are upheld, your voice belongs in that conversation.

Thank you to each of the nominees for being willing to serve and support our bargaining unit. Local unit officers play an important role in representing members, supporting contract enforcement, helping address workplace concerns, and strengthening our collective voice.

Please plan to participate in the officer election and make your voice heard.
