Call for delegates

Greetings Co-Workers!

PeaceHealth St. John is in need of 1 or 2 RNs to serve as delegates to the Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Labor Council. Your WSNA leaders here at PeaceHealth St. John need a nurse to step up and be appointed to represent the nurses at PeaceHealth St. John in the larger labor/union community. If you are interested in becoming a delegate or know someone who would like to be appointed please let myself or WSNA Rep representative Travis Elmore know ASAP. The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Labor Council meets the second Monday of every month at 1730. Attending every meeting is not required. We are looking for representation at meetings in order to be supportive of the larger labor community.

The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Labor Council is one of nearly 500 state and local labor councils of the AFL-CIO. Members of the Labor Council are dedicated to representing the interests of working people at the state and local level. Together, in unity with other unions, delegates work to mobilize their members and community partners to advocate for social and economic justice and strive daily to vanquish oppression and make communities better for all people—regardless of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, or ethnic or national origin. WSNA Delegates are appointed by the Local Unit Officers. The Cowlitz-Wahkiakum Labor Council meets typically on the second Monday of every month from 5:30-7 p.m.

Travis Elmore may be reached at telmore@wsna.org or 206-575-7979 ext. 3117.

In solidarity,

Karla Fowler RN – ICU
