Meet your bargaining team
Posted Aug 21, 2025
Our WSNA nurses who will bargain our next union contract have been chosen and completed their training! These nurses were chosen through our nomination process and confirmed by our local officer team. Please read below to learn more about them!

Jesse Holcomb (OR)
“Being new to the collective bargaining team, I’m excited to be able to represent my fellow nurses and bring a fresh perspective. Advocating for issues from compensation to benefit packages and even break time assurance ranks second only to my patient advocacy. I’m excited to be a part of this team and process, and look forward to securing meaningful gains for our nurses.”

Sheila Burman (SDS)
“I am excited to be involved in our union negotiations and I’m hoping to learn as much as I can. I’m passionate about strong compensation and meaningful benefit packages. Over the last year I have observed our union’s grievance about the removal of the 20% discount. I want to be a good advocate for my coworkers to help us get the best contract.”

Amy Gifford (WSNA Vice Chair ER)
“I have served as our union’s vice chair for the last two years and I’m excited to take part in contract negotiations for the first time. While fair pay increases are an important focus, we are also committed to addressing priorities that matter most to our nurses. This includes priorities like expanding paid time off and sick leave. Together, we will continue building our union stronger and securing meaningful improvements to our contract.”

Katy Anderson (WSNA Secretary- ICU)
“I have been a nurse for 13 years at 3 hospitals and Pullman is the first place I have had a union contract, and I appreciate how much transparency that gives my position. One of our main roles as a nurse is advocacy and I look forward to advocating for myself and my colleagues in this upcoming bargaining session.”

Janine Lawrence (WSNA Chair)
“I have been our union Chair for a few years at Pullman now. I have seen our Union work through furloughs during COVID and previous contract negotiations. I am looking forward to bargaining improvements in our wages, vacation hours, and workplace safety.”

Kelsey Erwin (ER)
"I have been a long-time member of the hospital staffing committee that meets monthly to address staffing complaints. I’m excited to be nominated for this role and to bargain for our next contract. I hope to achieve meaningful language that improves our working conditions. I feel it’s important to make sure PRH maintains its reputation of having the best treated nurses in the state. "

Sarah Garibaldo (Birthplace)
"I have been serving most recently on our monthly hospital staffing committee addressing staffing complaints and staffing plans. I am particularly enthusiastic about the advocacy of our nurses. It has not been an uncommon occurrence that our concerns are not fully heard, therefore, this opportunity will be invaluable for bringing them to the forefront. "
Membership matters
Membership in our union is crucial because it provides workers with a collective voice. By banding together, we gain strength and leverage to address our important workplace issues and advocate for our rights effectively. Pullman Regional is seeing significant change with the upcoming OR expansion, new CNO and changes in leadership, increased workplace violence, and a constantly evolving financial climate. WSNA remains a constant partner to weather these storms with you.
Why should you join WSNA now if you haven’t before?
This is your year! Our labor contract expires at the end of September, and we need every nurse to stand up and join us in advocating for their workplace conditions.
What do you love about working at Pullman Regional Hospital? Maybe it’s the wages or the stackable certification premiums. Maybe it’s lower nurse to patient ratios or our ability to request low census. These are all conditions of our work that WSNA nurses in our hospital have helped secure. These achievements are possible largely in part due to nurses being WSNA members.
The number of nurses involved in their local union and engaging in committees and events show Pullman Regional that nurses know their rights. Management knows every nurse who joins our union is another nurse who won’t back down. Management also knows how many nurses participate since they manage your payroll deductions. Join TODAY!

Who’s Your WSNA Nurse Rep?

"Hi! I’m Alle Machorro and I’ve been a registered nurse since 2017. My background is neuro-trauma ICU in a large Spokane hospital. While working bedside, I was a union steward for WSNA and bargained our contract with Providence. Every two weeks, for three years, I met newly hired nurses and educated them about the benefit of belonging to our union and helped them get familiar with our contract. I live in Spokane with my husband, two kids, and our dog. I am always happy to buy a nurse a cup of coffee and talk about our union. Nurses can call or text 206-707-2048 or email amachorro@wsna.org."
