Café time/Sip and Chat – Thomas Hammer coffee will be provided by the local unit in the cafeteria during the following dates and times. We are changing the way in which nurses can get their FREE brew to bolster involvement. “Volunteer Opportunities!” forms will be available for nurses to fill out and in exchange, receive a sticker for your cup of Joe to get you through your shift or travel home.

We’re coming to you! If you see us on your unit during the following times, say hi, and let’s talk about what’s happening!  We want to hear what’s working, what isn’t, and what matters to you.

No formal meeting. No long speeches. Just real conversations with your union, on your turf. (Nurses must be on non-work time when talking with WSNA while on the unit)

Fire Relief Assistance Funds are Still Available!

The Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant is to aid members in need of financial assistance.

The Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant Fund provides short-term financial assistance to registered nurses experiencing significant hardship. Administered by the Washington State Nurses Foundation (WSNF), these grants help nurses navigate difficult circumstances so they can continue delivering exceptional care across Washington state.

Early WSNA founder Etta B Cummings, established a fund to assist “Sick and Worn Out Nurses of Washington State.”  The WSNF Nurses Emergency Assistance Grant continues that legacy of caring for nurses who are experiencing significant financial hardship due to illness, injury, disability, loss of employment or crisis. 

At this time, the WSNF Emergency Assistance Grant fund is designated to assist WSNA members with financial hardship caused by displacement from primary residence and/or the loss of primary residence due to the Washington wildfires. IENA OCTOBER 14, 2026, 5P Legislative Reception Dinner Registration 

Registration is now open!

Join us for an engaging evening where you can mingle and enjoy dinner alongside the legislative candidates from your district who will be on the November ballot! This is a unique opportunity for IENA members to engage directly with these decision-makers, allowing you to voice your frustrations and challenges while discussing your unwavering commitment to providing excellent nursing care. Seated with fellow nurses, you will have the chance to share your experiences and insights, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages open dialogue. In return, you will gain valuable insights into the candidates’ proposed policy changes aimed at addressing the barriers you face in delivering high-quality nursing care.

While this event is complimentary for all WSNA / IENA members, please note that seating is limited to just 100 nurses, so we encourage you to register promptly to secure your place! We warmly invite non-members to join us for a nominal fee of just $10, providing a unique opportunity to experience the enriching and supportive environment that IENA offers.
