Grievance Update –Insurance Benefits

myCurrentUpdate.tableOfContents =

WSNA has received the employer’s Step 1 response regarding our formal grievance over the unilateral transition to Aetna insurance. While the employer has acknowledged receipt, their response fails to address the core concerns raised by dozens of nurses about increased costs, denied care, and lack of bargaining over the plan change.

We are moving forward with Step 2 of the grievance process to continue demanding accountability and contract compliance.

What’s next:

  • WSNA has advanced the grievance to Step 2 and this is a formal meeting with management.
  • We strongly encourage members to attend the Step 2 meeting to show unity and continue sharing their firsthand experiences. Watch for meeting date and time.
  • If you’ve been affected by changes in coverage, high out-of-pocket costs, or care denials, now is the time to speak up—your voice strengthens our case.
  • WSNA will also be scheduling a separate meeting with members to develop an action plan moving forward. We need your input on how we organize and respond collectively.

Your voice matters

If you’ve been impacted by Aetna’s coverage or have questions about the grievance, please reach out to your WSNA team or contact your nurse representative at kruchert@wsna.org. Include Insurance Grievance in the subject line.

Stay informed. Stay united.
Together, we are stronger.
