Still no agreement

On Thursday, Oct. 7, WSNA met with Seattle Children’s to try to reach agreement on the effects of the vaccine mandate. We are in coalition bargaining with IUOE 302 and UFCW 21 (the other two unions representing workers at Seattle Children’s). We are all bargaining with our members’ best interests in mind. The employer’s latest proposal would amount to imposing discipline without just cause for some workers, by making you take two weeks of unpaid leave without access to your own accrued benefit time. This is not something that we are agreeable to.

We know that Oct. 18 is fast approaching and that many of you are anxious for your union to reach a deal with the employer. We promise to continue to meet with the employer and work towards an acceptable and fair deal.
