Show Us the Money!

We are back at the table today.  Last we met, Seattle Children’s put forward a wage proposal that would increase the wage rates at the different steps on the wage scale between 8.3% and 11.1% over three years. They did NOT propose an average increase of 14% to the wage rates in the wage scale (like their bargaining update would lead you to believe).  The Hospital’s average 14% number includes the annual step progressions a given nurse would also see if they stayed at SCH.   We would welcome a proposal that raised steps on the wage scale by an average of 14%!  But so far SCH has passed wage scales that leave us far behind other nurses doing the same work at other facilities.  We welcome Seattle Children’s to raise nurses’ wages to the levels that other West Coast Children’s hospitals pay, and that we deserve for doing highly skilled work caring for the kids in our community.

Come to your union for accurate information about what is happening at the table!
