Negotiation update #2

We met for our second contract negotiation session with the county on Oct. 27, 2020. Both sides had some productive and deep discussions into outstanding proposals. We did not exchange any counter-proposals on wages today. Both sides anticipate news from the county regarding the budget for next year which may impact wage increases. We have a lot of work to do as we continue to understand all the ways the county’s proposals will impact the nurse supervisors and managers. Our next confirmed bargaining session is Nov. 10.

Look in your mail over the next few days for a WSNA button. Wear it every day to show support of our union and your bargaining team until we reach a tentative agreement on this contract.

In Solidarity,

Your WSNA Negotiating Team: Sean Dumas, Chair; Lois Schipper, Vice Chair; Amy Curtis
