We are almost there!
Posted Sept. 8, 2026
We are almost to the finish line for the 2026 – 2029 WSNA Contract! Today the King County Council PASSED the proposed ordinance for the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Next stop is the Executive’s desk for signature. The Executive then has 10 days to sign the ordinance. 10 days after the Executive signs the ordinance it becomes law and then it drops into the payroll cycle. This means that you all will actually see your much deserved increases and benefits soon.
Of note, King County Council Member Teresa Mosqueda went on record with strong statements recognizing the value of the KC Public Health Nurses. She expressed ‘a huge note of appreciation’ for the nurses and emphasized the critical nature of your work and your role in the community.
