Labor Pool shifts VS. MOU shifts

We have heard there is some confusion about MOU shifts and the Labor Pool shifts. Here are the answers we received from leadership.

The Labor Pool shifts are not designated as Extra Shift Incentive shifts. The information provided in the PIO updates has always stated these are volunteer positions and has never identified them as Extra Shift Incentive eligible.

The MOU shifts are available for sign up in When 2 Work (W2W). However not everyone has access to that program to sign up for eligible shifts. When asked, here is management’s response:

Specific to Inpatient department only, yes there is a signup list available in W2W. They may also contact the Staffing Coordinator, Laura Molloy, directly if they are unable to view the list in W2W.

Non-inpatient departments, RN’s can contact their department schedulers or managers directly for identified Extra Shift Incentive Bonus shifts.

MOU Incentive Eligible shifts are filled through the Staffing Coordinator, department schedulers, or leadership. Labor pool shifts are filled through labor pool sign up or contacting the LP Coordinator directly.

Your officers are recommending that whenever you sign up to help, please confirm what shift and pay structure you are signing up for ahead of time and in writing. This can be in the form of a text message or an email. This information will be indispensable if payment is not received as anticipated.

Please reach out to one of your officers or your nurses rep if you encounter difficulties with correct reimbursement for the work that you do.
