We Fought the County and We Won!

We have had a lot of back-and-forth conversations with the County Administration about when members would receive their retro pay for their new increased wages for the period of January 2024 to October 2024. The County, despite stating that it would probably be paid 2 months after ratification, then started trying to push it back further and further into the new year, all the way to March (or later!) in 2025. We put the pressure on them to either pay it by the end of 2024, or to include interest for all time beyond the new year, and they have just announced that they intend to pay all the retro pay you are due in your December 6 paycheck! We would appreciate confirmation from our members after December 6 that they have been properly compensated to ensure follow through by the County.

We Are Still Looking For New Officers!

We are extending the deadline for officer nominations to the end of November so please get your nominations in soon! Your incredibly dedicated current officers, Susan Babcock and Sue Starr, can help answer questions about what it's like to be an officer and why they have served, so please reach out to them or your Nurse Rep, Grace Chesterman (gchesterman@wsna.org)) with any questions. You can email Grace if you're interested in running for a spot!
