Significant changes to the staffing matrix were implemented by management, without RN support, on July 1. In the months following these imposed changes, your officers and nurse staffing committee have seen a dramatic increase in documented complaints pertaining to staffing. Your concern over these changes is clear and your officers have heard you. The documentation gathered on the staffing complaint forms (ADO’s) since July 1 provides indisputable evidence that the staffing matrix changes were a bad idea.

It is now time for PeaceHealth Southwest’s CEO to listen and respond to nurse’s concerns. The matrix changes implemented by management are unsafe for nurses and patients. A letter was written by your officers addressing this issue and hundreds of nurses have already signed it. Thank you for your support. Your officers would like 200 more signatures to send a powerful message to the CEO at the next Staffing Committee meeting on Sept 8. Below is a link to the petition letter. Please sign and share with other PHSW nurses.

In Solidarity,

Your WSNA Nurse Staffing Committee
