Big thanks to Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and our state legislators!

On March 29, 2024 Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez met with WSNA/PHSW nurses and on April 2, 2024 members of the Washington State Legislature from the 17th and 49th districts met with our members from PHSW. Representatives Monica Stonier, Kevin Waters and Sharon Wylie attended, as well as staff from Senator Annette Cleveland’s office. We had great discussions with lawmakers about working conditions at the hospital, concerns with patient care, moral distress, quality of care in Southwest Washington and changes that are needed to make nursing a profession that people want to purse and stay in.

Thanks to all of the nurses who participated!
