Bargaining Update – Day 12

Yesterday was another disappointing day at the bargaining table.

Management continues to propose getting rid of EIB; Management continues to propose cutting the wages of home health and hospice nurses; and management is refusing to agree to many of our proposed increases to premiums.

Bottom line…. Management continues to propose taking away many of your hard-fought gains.

Hospital administration made minor increases to their wage proposal as listed below:

Grade 1 (Clinic RNs): all steps will be increased by $2.25.

Grades 2 and 3 (Home and Community RNs):  all steps will be increased by 4.0%

Grades 4 through 7 (Inpatient RNs):  Steps Base-10 will be increased by $2.00 + 4.5%, Step 11 plateau (same amount as Step 10), and Steps 12-32 will be increased by $1.00 + 4.5%

Effective with the first full pay period after the following dates, the Medical Center will implement the following increases:

March 1, 2025: all grades and all steps will be increased by 4.0%

March 1, 2026: all grades and all steps will be increased by 4.0%

March 1, 2027: all grades and all steps will be increased by 3.5%

We hear your disgust with the lack of collaboration from management.

We are starting to plan for an Informational Picket at the hospital in the coming weeks. Contact a bargaining team member to pledge that you will attend if you haven’t already done so.

Thank you to everyone who has signed a picket pledge!

WSNA is moving forward with plans to digitally target the hospital and other strategic locations with ads related to our bargaining using geofencing. The public and the media needs to know how PeaceHealth is treating you after all that you have given!

Contact the WSNA Rep. if you have ideas for ad content!

March 26 is our next bargaining session! To observe the bargaining session on March 26, 2024. Email sscholl@wsna.org to RSVP.
