Bargaining Update – Day 13

Thank you to all of the observers who showed up today for contract negotiations!

We gave management a comprehensive proposal and expect a response at our next session!

Not a lot has changed as it relates to PeaceHealth. Management continues to propose getting rid of EIB; Management continues to propose cutting the wages of home health and hospice nurses; and management continues to express no interest in many of our proposed increases to premiums.

We hear your disgust with the slow movement from management at the bargaining table. Our information picket is now set for April 18 on Mill Plain! There will be two timeframes to ensure maximum participation.

The morning picket will be from 0600-0900 with an afternoon picket from 1600-1900 (Rally starting at 1730). Come out on a break if you are working!

Contact a bargaining team member to pledge that you will attend the picket if you haven’t already done so.

Congresswoman Marie Gluesenkamp-Perez wants to hear from you and learn more about your working conditions! This Friday, March 29th there will be an in person discussion with the Congresswoman form 1300-1415. Please call 206-575-7979 ext 0 to RSVP. The location of the conversation will be provided after you RSVP. Space is limited and only the first 20 who RSVP will be included.

Bargaining team members are hosting informal union meetings with WSNA members. “Sip and Chats” occur every Tuesday from 1800-1930 while we are in negotiations. Click the button to join via Microsoft Teams or call in (206) 485-2614; Passcode: 864004705# to join.

WSNA is requesting that EVERY NURSE wear a WSNA shirt or a “I Support My Bargaining Team" button or sticker on negotiation days. Please contact Brooke Churchman at bchurchlady@gmail.com or Duncan Camacho at duncancamacho@gmail.com for a FREE WSNA shirt. For stickers and buttons, contact a member of the bargaining team or WSNA Organizer Sam Scholl.
