We Have Reached an Agreement on a Break Waiver!

On Monday, December 22, 2025, WSNA Reps and officers from around the state met with PeaceHealth representatives to continue bargaining a meal and rest break waiver form. We are happy to announce that we have reached a tentative agreement! We will be conducting a virtual vote on January 8, 2026! WSNA and PeaceHealth have agreed to maintain the current waiver process until WSNA members in PeaceHealth bargaining units have ratified the waiver. This agreed upon waiver clearly spells out your rights under Washington State law. This new waiver makes it clear that the form is revokable and that WSNA members can't be coerced or compelled to waive their rights around meal and rest breaks. For reference, this was PeaceHealth's waiver form as originally proposed.

You can vote virtually anytime between 0600 and 2200 on January 8. All members in good standing (that is, current dues-paying members) will receive a unique online ballot to the same email address on file with WSNA at 0600 (6 AM). Voting will close at 8 PM. The new waiver will be included with your ballot.

If you do not receive a ballot at 0600 on January 8 please check your junk and spam email. If you still don’t see a ballot, contact your WSNA Rep!
