New Compensation for Extra Shift (CES) MOU

Hello WSNA nurses at PeaceHealth Southwest,

As you are probably aware, management decided to discontinue the use of CES 3. WSNA has been fighting to restore that provision back as part into a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This was one of the remedies Dawn Marick brilliantly presented in the Staffing grievance meeting with Sean Gregory. While CES 3 is no longer an option, WSNA met with management to draft a new Compensation for Extra Shift (CES) which combines parts from CES 1, CES 2, and CES 3. The hope is that just having just one CES MOU would streamline the process and ensure that there is no confusion over what you will be compensated and what the expectations are when you sign up for a CES open shift. This MOU was signed April 14. We have heard that not all staff were made aware by their managers of this change and we therefore want to ensure you all have a copy of the new language. The Memorandum of Understanding for CES can be found on the WSNA PeaceHealth Southwest webpage (this page).

Please contact me at mkieval@wsna.org if you have any questions.

In solidarity,
Mara
