WSNA PeaceHealth Southwest Unit Officer Election Notice

Online Election September 28, 2026 

Because of a technical system malfunction during the weekend before the originally scheduled election, we could not proceed on the original timeline. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience as we worked to resolve these issues and ensure a smooth election process.

Revised Election Schedule and Voting Details

• Voting Method: Online Ballot sent to individual email addresses on file with WSNA
• Voting Opens: Monday, September 28, 2026, at 6:00 a.m.
• Voting Closes: Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
• Results Announcement: New local unit officers will be announced on Thursday, October 1, 2026.

• Check Your Email: Ballots will be distributed electronically to all WSNA members in good standing prior to the election opening.
• Individual Ballot Links: Do not forward or share your electronic ballot link—each link is unique to the individual nurse.
• Missing Ballot? If you are a dues-paying member in good standing and do not see your ballot in your inbox on the morning of September 28, please check your spam/junk folder. If it is still missing, email Nurse Representative Bret Percival, RN, at BPercival@wsna.org.

Your WSNA contract is signed and posted online. Twenty-five copies were delivered and are in the process of being distributed. You can access the contract online. Staffing Concerns and ADO Training Recurring Meeting

Submitting an Assignment Despite Objection (ADO) or Staffing Complaint enables you to officially record workplace issues where assignments do not align with the Hospital Staffing Plan (HSP). You can also write ADOs for other issues. We will host online ADO workshops to explore why ADOs have succeeded in some cases but not others, and how to complete an effective ADO. The sessions will also cover ways to support enforcement of Staffing Laws and our contract, including staffing requirements we believe are not being met more often than we can currently document. These virtual workshops last 30 minutes. We will open early for discussion 15 minutes before the start time so we can start the workshop promptly. We will also stay afterward as long as needed if anyone still has questions.

We have many outstanding issues being worked on behind the scenes, as well as a number of grievances, and work underway in Conference Committees, the Staffing Committee, and a newly formed PTO committee. We plan to include status updates and lists of ongoing issues with the bargaining unit in future updates.  Once the new officers are officially on board, we will share more.
