Negotiation update #4

We had our fourth session Friday, March 11. Thanks to our RN Observers for coming and supporting the bargaining team!

We proposed to add Juneteenth as a holiday since it was belatedly recognized as a state and federal holiday in 2021. Despite St. Joe’s emphasis on diversity training (and even recognition as a holiday by Bellingham Public Schools), the Hospital scoffed at our proposal as it rejected it.

We did achieve some tentative agreements on smaller issues. We are anticipating receiving the Hospital’s wage proposal on Monday.

Our next sessions are Monday and Tuesday, Mar. 14-15. Wear BLUE to support your team.

In Solidarity and Unity,

Laura Bayes, 4-South; Tracy Pullar and Darlyce Jerde, PCU; Geri F.; Robin Cully, ED; Rhonda Tull, SSU; Grace Schackel, Cath Lab; Jana Travenshek, CCFP
