Memorandum of Agreement

The OR Staffing Committee brought forward a request. Many dayshift nurses that had an 0700 start time wanted to start at 0645, and the shift end time would also be 15 minutes earlier. This would allow for better workflow and patient care. The Local Unit Officers and WSNA sought every nurse’s input. Based on the nurses’ input, this would be voluntary. Once the change was selected and made, it became permanent, beginning with the September schedule. This was done on a one-time, non-precedent setting basis.
