Negotiations update session 13

Solidblue

We met with management for another contract negotiations session on Friday, August 16. We all had hopes of settling things and were prepared for a very long day. We came to the table with a comprehensive proposal that included very fair and reasonable requests. Unfortunately, those requests were met with less than enthusiastic response. In fact, despite compelling arguments, management is extremely resistant to our request for retaining EIB and maintain your PTO caps. In addition, we are still apart with regards to wage increases and other significant issues that are still on the table.

We will be looking at additional negotiating dates. We are closer now than we were before, but we are not there yet. We really value your support and encouragement for the team. Please “button up” and show your support for your team at the table by wearing a WSNA button! It is your right to do so.

Again, your team volunteers their time at the table for these negotiations. If you can donate PTO to help offset their time, please see the attached form. Of note, none of your dues money goes to any political candidates! There is information on the WSNA website about where your dues money goes.

Stay tuned for more negotiation dates! We welcome your presence as this sends a clear message to management that we are in this together!
