SJMC required to post WSNA nurses’ right to union representation at meetings with management!

Please look for the notices from the National Labor Relations Board that should be posted around the Medical Center this week.

These notices are the result of actions taken by our WSNA Local Unit officers in support of a member who was denied this right. In the settlement with the NLRB, SJMC has recognized that federal labor law protects your right to have a WSNA representative present if you are called into a meeting where you are asked questions that you reasonably believe could lead to your discipline.

We are here to represent you. We will vigorously fight to protect this right and to defend any member who asserts this right.

If you have any questions or believe we can be of assistance, please contact any of the WSNA Local Unit Officers or WSNA Nurse Representative Barbara Friesen at bfriesen@wsna.org or 206 – 575-7979, ext. 3056.
